This comprehensive, case-based workshop is designed to strengthen the practical skills of General Practitioners in managing common and critical paediatric conditions with confidence. Covering everything from Rational Practice for GP and effective parent counseling to the assessment of cough, difficult breathing, and abnormal respiratory sounds, the course focuses on real-life clinical decision-making.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of newborn care, including recognition of minor abnormalities, neonatal jaundice, feeding difficulties, delayed cry, and respiratory distress. The workshop also emphasizes breastfeeding, weaning, nutrition, malnutrition, and IYCF guidelines, ensuring a strong foundation in child growth and development.
Key sessions include evaluation of fever, management of Fever, Cold & Flu, and updated approaches to Dengue, including shock management. Common gastrointestinal problems such as AWD, dysentery, vomiting, abdominal pain, helminthiasis, and feeding issues are discussed with practical solutions.
